IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre is a Strategy game where players lead armies as godlike generals to dominate the battlefield and conquer their rivals. Across three worlds, these “Immortals” lead their proud and mighty civilizations to victory with unique troops and powerful spells.

How To Play

Players begin with an outpost and six workers on a sprawling map filled with untapped resources against one or two opponents. Build your economy, rally your armies, and claim your territory. Destroy all those who would deny your empire its righteous destiny.

When To Scout

When To Scout

Everything begins with scouting. IMMORTAL is a game of imperfect information, so the better you scout, the bigger your advantage.

Based on what you scout, you’ll decide to either attack, expand, or defend.

When To Attack

When To Attack

Attack players when they’re expanding.

Expanding is expensive. When your opponent expands they’re making a long-term investment. Punish them before their investment can pay off.

When To Expand

Expand against defensive players to overcome defender’s advantage.

Don’t attack mindlessly into a strong defensive position. Let them sit in their castle while you gather up all the resources on the map and invest in late-game technology.

When To Defend

Defend your territory when you scout an incoming attack.

It will take time for enemy troops to make their way across the map. Time to get your defenses set up and time to produce additional troops that will arrive during the battle.

Immortals are the God-like commanders of Creation, leading the armies of their respective nations across the worlds of Nuath, Shael, and Xur.
